EVALUATION: FEEDBACK ON SHOTS OF THE MEN’S
MEETING
29 January 2014
On 29 January, we screened this sequence to a
focus group of year 10 pupils who offered us a range of useful feedback:
The main criticism referred to the speed of
some of the pans, which compromised the sharpness of focus and risked making
the audience feel a bit uneasy.
We
learned from this that next time we would pan more slowly, checking the focus,
and taking test shots.
We were
praised for the lighting in the room, with use of little natural light as well
as artificial such as the strong, filming lights. We were also praised for the
rich, vivid colours in the room for example the orange/gold wallpaper, the
ornate, elaborate ceiling and heavy, dark wood doors and furniture.
